Katie could be described as a serial entreprenuer. She started her first-born business at 18. She has experience with operating a business at a permanent brick & mortar location as well as a mobile unit, temporary locations, craft/vendor shows, and selling online.

She launched her second-born business, Trouble Me Knot Embroidery in 2016 after falling in love with the process of machine embroidery. She uses her decades of professional experiences to educate & inspire people in the apparel industry, whether they’re a hobbyist or an established business.

Along with her brother, Katie also owns & manages rental properties and enjoys being a part of a small family farming operation in rural Iowa. She enjoys her family most and loves spending time camping, gardening, riding motorcycle, and crafting of all kinds.

Katie loves overcoming challenges of all kinds, which is why she enjoys training other business owners to help them grown and achieve their dreams without the struggles that can present themselves along the way.
